On May 31st I gave my first concert here at the Emporium , with an audience of 8 and 2 musicans with masks and gel in place . It was phase 2 of the reintergration from the COVID 19 Virus in Cadiz that permitted gatherings of up to 10 people . Humble beginnings , but a beginning of something very much appreciated in the community...........live music !!! It was a set of jazz standards with my friend and jazz guitarist Jose Maria Lopez. Some of the lesser known standards we played that evening were Michel Legrands haunting ballad " You Must Believe In Spring " Cal Massey's soul groove classic "These are Soulful Days" and Horace Silver's challenging and quirky "Ecorah". After the concert there was an apero(drinks) at the Gato Jazz Cafe . Thanks to all who participated. Greatly appreciated.
